Hope, Secure and Not

Hope, Secure and Not

The mother weaned her child with hope
that when he'd turned a man,
he'd bear the holy standard of
the One who'd formed the land.

Old Adam ate the fruit with hope,
a hope that could not bend,
that when his tooth the snack did break,
his life would surely end.

The mother's son caused endless trials,
each sin her hope would test
and every time she'd cry on high
and hope her son the best.

Adam, they say, survived the day,
his body long time lived
but lived he with a hope secure
that death, well earned, was his.

A teenage boy rejected all
his parents had to teach.
His mother prayed with fervor strong
her hope the boy would reach.

For Adam's hope the Christ did come
and Life, through Him, became
sure hope to lift men unto Him,
past Eden's once good shame.

A young man crept so warily
to church, as he'd been shown
and listened half attentively,
his mother's hope unknown.

Though sin remains a nasty part
that Christ-men's bodies share,
they have a hope secure and safe
that Life, well earned, is theirs.

A mother hopes, sincere enough,
her hope says, "maybe?", "or?".
She never knows, for all her tears,
the ending that's in store.

His holiness, our destiny,
each body it shall fill -
done deal, price paid, a hope secure,
His blood shed on a hill!

Heb 6:19
19 We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain,

2 Cor 3:12...18
12 Therefore, since we have such a hope , we are very bold...18 And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. NIV

Eph 1:18-2018 I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, 19 and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is like the working of his mighty strength, 20 which he exerted in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realmsNIV

Word of Truth

Word of Truth

He speaks and the darkness flees away.
He speaks and the light appears.
He speaks and the dead man has a way
to be lively and full of cheer.

He speaks and the wild storm's time is past.
He speaks and the strong winds cease.
He speaks and the whole earth listens fast
to the power of His wise decrees.

He speaks and the sinners debt is gone.
He speaks and the slave is free.
He speaks and the outcast has a home
in the land of His family.

He speaks and the ocean's waters hold.
He speaks and its proud waves break.
He speaks and the accusations told
dare not one hard conviction make.

He speaks and a child's cry is heard .
He speaks and His Saints reply.
He speaks and the agents of His Word
bring Life to a child neigh.

He speaks and the fool hears not a sound.
He speaks and His Word's ignored.
He speaks and the blessings can't be found;
let us beg Him to speak once more.

Heb 4:12
12 For the word of G-d is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.NIV

Rom 4:17B
- the G-d who gives life to the dead and calls things that are not as though they were. NIV

John 12:49-50
49For I did not speak of my own accord, but the Father who sent me commanded me what to say and how to say it. 50 I know that his command leads to eternal life. So whatever I say is just what the Father has told me to say." NIV
